HOW TO ENTER THE PALACE
To enter the Desert Palace, go to the south-west corner of the Light World to the Desert of Mystery. Once there, look for a large platform with a tablet on it.
Use the ancient Book of Mudora on the tablet to read the tablet's inscription and open the door to the palace.
TIPS FOR THIS PALACE
If you need to get a key from the top of a post, use the Pegasus Shoes to dash into the post to knock the key down. If you reach a room that appears to be a
dead end, try lighting all the torches with your Lamp to make an opening appear.
DIRECTIONS TO THE BIG KEY
The Big Key is in the top-right room in the first basement of the Desert Palace. To find it from the palace entrance, walk up to the top of the main area and
go up through the fourth door from the right. Dash into the top-left torch to get a key, then go down through the door and go right all the way. Walk down
and enter the locked door on the right, then go up one room to find the Big Key.
DIRECTIONS TO THE POWER GLOVE
To find the Power Glove in the Desert Palace, go to the top-left room in the first basement and use the Big Key to open the large treasure chest.
DIRECTIONS TO THE LANMOLAS
To find the Lanmolas in the Desert Palace, go to the bottom-left room in the first basement and go down through the door to appear outside. Walk up behind the buildings to find a cave surrounded by rocks. Use the Power Glove to pick up the rocks and enter the cave to appear on the first floor of the palace. Go through the rooms until you reach a room at the end with four jars, four torches and a Cyclops. Use your Lamp to light all four torches and make an earthquake occur. Enter the newly-revealed door on the left to find the Lanmolas.
HOW TO DEFEAT THE LANMOLAS
The Lanmolas are creatures that guard the Pendant of Power. They are three large green worms which shoot out of the sand floor and dive back down. To
defeat them, power up your sword by holding the B button and performing the Whirling Blade technique on the worms' heads. Each of the Lanmolas will
require eight hits from the sword before it subsides into the dust forever. It's handy to have some potions and/or faeries on hand.
