The Four Swords: Trials

Courtesy Zelda.com

There's no way Link can defeat Vaati alone. He needs the help of other adventurers. Check out some new types of challenges facing Link ... and Link and Link and Link!

CHAMBERS OF INSIGHT
In the Chambers of Insight, your team will learn about new magical gear and multiplayer tactics in Four Swords. Frequently, it takes the strength of all four players to move a boulder or activate a switch.

CUT-THROAT COMPETITION
The dungeons encourage as much competition as they do cooperation. After you beat any stage boss, all team players are ranked by the amount of Rupees they've found. The player with the most wins the Medal of Courage!

HEAVE HO
An important technique in Four Swords is the ability to grab and throw teammates. This can work to your advantage when you're trying to access an out-of-reach switch, or to your disadvantage when one of your "friends" purposely tosses you down a pit!

CONNECTED FEATURES
A Link to the Past is on the same Game Pak as Four Swords, and what you do in one game affects play in the other.

SPECIAL SWORD ATTACKS
If you learn a new sword move such as the Beam Sword attack in A Link to the Past, you can use the special move during your adventures in Four Swords.

SECRET DUNGEON
After you beat the final boss in A Link to the Past and Vaati (in the first Four Swords epic), a whole new dungeon will open in A Link to the Past.

THE RIDDLE QUEST
The player who earns the most Rupees in an area wins a medal. Once you earn 10 medals in Four Swords, you can begin a riddle quest in A Link to the Past, hosted by the lumberjack.
